These custom precision steel pins were manufactured domestically for our customer involved in water treatment product manufacturing. 1018 CRS material was used with plain finish. The drive-less head measures .060″ in height and .290″ for the diameter, +/-.005″. The shoulder portion was the most critical with a diameter of .195″ +/- .001″ and a slight 45 deg by .02″ chamfer. Overall length of the shoulder shaft was set to .460″. Production is typically done at 5,000 pieces at a time.

Large quantities of these custom made 1018 steel pins would be best supplied on a 12 month blanket purchase order basis. The Blanket Order concept allows the customer to access the large quantity cost savings without paying upfront for the entire large quantity order. Instead we take on the burden of carrying the bulk inventory and only release the parts as needed, or often on a pre-scheduled basis provided by the customer.
