Project Description

These are M2 X 6MM DFARS compliant custom metric socket screws whose simplicity in look is misleading to say the least. We were tasked to replicate our customers existing samples and the combination of the hex broach dimensions and depth together with the countersunk angle required a different approach than a standard flat socket head screw. The part was initially made like a standard socket cap screw without the countersink, broached to required depth, and then machined down for the countersunk angle. Finally the part was then threaded and passivated.
