These are custom dowel pins made for our aerospace customer using 420 stainless steel material at just 100 pieces.  After production the dowel pins were separately passivated using a NADCAP certified facility using a process of passivation with descaling and a 24 hour water immersion test that is typically recommended for 400 series stainless steel materials.  For larger quantities we typically set up blanket purchase order arrangements with our customers.  The Blanket Order concept allows the customer to access the large quantity cost savings without paying upfront for the entire large quantity order. Instead we take on the burden of carrying the bulk inventory and only release the parts as needed, or often on a pre-scheduled basis provided by the customer.
