These are custom 4140 steel shoulder bolts we supplied to our automotive customer at 100 pieces. 4140 steel material was used with heat treat to achieve 37-44 RC, with plain finish. The shoulder measured M11.5 x 136MM with a 1.15MM groove approximately 35MM from the special hex head. The special dog point measures 10.447MM/10.540MM by 5.7MM in length. Lead time for this 100 piece domestic batch was approximately 6 weeks from order confirmation.
Large quantities of these custom 4140 steel shoulder bolts would be best supplied on a 12 month blanket purchase order basis. The Blanket Order concept allows the customer to access the large quantity cost savings without paying upfront for the entire large quantity order. Instead we take on the burden of carrying the bulk inventory and only release the parts as needed, or often on a pre-scheduled basis provided by the customer.
